National Black Home Educators
National Black Home Educators (NBHE) is a nationwide organization dedicated to mentoring parents and training youth. We believe that today’s black families can prepare tomorrow’s exceptional leaders through home education. Founded in 2000 by Eric and Joyce Burges, the organization’s mission is to empower parents to educate their children for excellence. We provide encouragement, information, and resources to enable families to realize this vision.
NBHE is a service organization which is open to anyone who adheres to our vision. Our resources are available to all families. We seek to network with other like-minded organizations in order to further provide resources to our families.
